Lead IT Engineer

Naperville, IL

Advance your career as a Lead IT Engineer – Cybersecurity. You bring your skills and expertise in cloud and application security. You will be an integral part of creating innovative technology solutions, work in a fast-paced environment and on multiple projects.


You will partner with cross functional IT, operational, plant and business teams. This role will partner with our global Kellanova partners.  The ideal candidate will reside in the Chicago, Naperville, IL areas.

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

  • Innovate: Document technical security standards for implementing enterprise security policies. Lead the design and build activities for new cybersecurity capabilities, tools, and services. Analyze and recommend improvements for security control process and technology.
  • Collaborate: Serve as a technical liaison between business, IT, developers, and other engineering resources from a cybersecurity standpoint. Provide mentoring and security training to other members of the team.
  • Drive Results: Respond to security incidents and provide guidance across the organization on effective incident response processes. Create and manage performance metrics (KPI | KRI) to measure the effectiveness of new and existing cybersecurity capabilities, tools, and services.

 

Your Recipe for Success

  • High School Diploma or GED with related IT and IT Security work experience.
  • We are looking for someone with experience in security engineering or operations with hands on clou security implementation experience and experience in a scripting language such as PowerShell or Python.
  • Strong technical knowledge of multi-cloud IaaS, PaaS, SaaS environments; security tools (SAML/Directory Services, Anti-Virus, Endpoint Detection and Response, Data Loss Prevention, Next-Gen Firewall, and Security Information and Event Management); Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR), Web Application Firewall, and Anti-Bot technologies.
  • Expertise in modern malware, TTPs and security vulnerabilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of NIST CSF or MITRE ATT&CK frameworks.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills at all levels of organization in a matrixed environment, along with ability to work independently and juggle multiple priorities. 
  • Proactive problem-solving, negotiation and decision-making skills to influence management, as well as internal and external partners.
