Position Summary

The Lead Comms & Corporate Affairs plays a key role in building and protecting Nestlé Health Science’s reputation in the US market. This individual will help proactively tell Nestlé’s corporate story both internally and externally on key topics like business transformation, culture and health science innovation. 


Primary Responsibilities

Partners with Communications leadership to develop, implement, and manage a strategic, 360 degree communications plan that drives Nestlé Health Science U.S.'s business objectives, enhances the employee experience and strengthens the company's reputation.


Manages day-to-day internal communications activities for the company's Professional Health team, including close partnership with HR to drive employee engagement and build culture.


Establishes and builds a positive relationship with the media, and organizes programs and events that tell Nestlé Health Science's business story.


Contributes to editorial calendar planning, and identifies and pitches key storylines that support Nestlé Health Science’s business story. Coordinates with PR agencies and broader team as appropriate.


Supports the management and coordination of crisis response, working closely with the Senior Manager, Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, including writing and distributing news releases and position statements, coordinating traditional and social media strategy and responding to requests for information from the media, analysts and other sources.


Planning, writing and review of news releases, articles, editorials, publications and other written communications products to ensure Nestlé Health Science is well-positioned.


Interfaces with senior leadership to identify key themes and opportunities for communication.


Collaborates with cross-functional teams and other communications professionals to ensure that the organization's internal and external communications strategies are aligned.

Qualifications

Requirements & Minimum Education Level

Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or related field required, Master’s Degree preferred


Experience

  • 7-10 years professional experience required
  • Experience in media relations required
  • Experience in internal communications required
  • Experience leading highly visible communications campaigns required
  • Experience in managing cross-functional projects and stakeholders required
  • Experience directly supporting executives with communications required
  • Experience handling high stakes, fast-moving crises preferred
  • Experience managing teams and working cross-functionally in highly matrixed organizations preferred
  • PR agency experience preferred


Skills

  • Exceptional content strategy, messaging, writing, editing, and journalistic skills
  • Impeccable communication skills
  • Must be able to juggle several tasks at one time
  • Collaborative team player with a good sense of humor
  • Must be able to perform duties in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment
  • Understanding of the political, business, economic and societal issues facing Nestlé
  • Discipline and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience in social media platforms
