Lab Technician

We’re looking for a Laboratory Technician who will fill a crucial supporting role in keeping our laboratory running smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for maintaining and organizing lab areas, assembling and autoclaving bioreactors, 6S maintenance, shipping and receiving of samples, performing basic laboratory tasks, and helping maintain our consumable inventory.

What you'll do:

• Maintain clean and organized lab areas
• Perform 6s tasks in the lab
• Assemble and autoclave vessels
• Post experiment clean up
• Adhere to company EH&S policies and procedure
• Organize and maintain inventory of glassware and sterile supplies throughout the labs
• Support waste pickup and lab coat cleaning
• Perform laboratory tasks and experimental work, including weighing samples, loading and unloading glass wash, and storing glassware
• Assist in tidying the lab and keeping it organized
• Lab Equipment maintenance tasks
• Safely handle and properly dispose of laboratory and biohazard waste
• Shipping and receiving of samples

About You:

• You have a minimum High School Diploma with 0-1 years' experience working in a wet lab environment. 
• You have basic computer skills and are familiar with MS Office and/or gSuite. 
• You’re detail oriented, dependable, and excited to work in a cutting-edge bioreactor laboratory.
• You enjoy collaborating with teammates to improve operating procedures and best practices.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs

Schedule

This is an on-site role in our South San Francisco facility. Candidates must be able to work the shift listed below. Occasional overtime may occur.

• Tuesday to Saturday (afternoon shift: 2pm-10pm)
