Junior Retail Planner

New York, NY

As the Junior Retail Planner, you will manage the day-to-day responsibilities and be able to analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and build ad-hoc templates to drive strategies.


Responsibilities

About the Role:

  • Analyze historical sales performance and current trends to identify business opportunities within stores/ecommerce and product categories
  • Create and manage all weekly and monthly reporting from stock to sales, delivery status, and aged inventory reports
  • Prepare long term and short-term sales forecast by product and reference level, partnering with Merchandise Managers for qualitative feedback
  • Manage the auto-replenishment skus, including model stock at the door and sku level; in addition to suggesting weekly / monthly transfers as needed
  • Lead and manage reorder requests as needed, partnering with the Merchandise team for strategic guidance
  • Support the Planning team in preparing the open to buy forecast with the Senior Planning Manager’s guidance
  • Monitor the execution of the buy, providing collection recaps during and post market
  • Support the Merchandise and Planning department with ad-hoc requests
  • Partner with the IT team to ensure data-accuracy and reporting efficiencies

Qualifications

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 1-3 years of merchandise planning or related experience with direct open-to-buy experience strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Must be organized with attention to detail along with great follow up and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple work projects with tight timelines
  • Strong technical aptitude with advanced competency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in the beauty industry a plus
