Junior Designer, Global Brand Design

The Global Brand Design team is the creative nucleus for the GTM team. We define the brand vision; how the brand should look, sound and feel. We build tools for other teams to bring this vision to life. We engage deeply with those teams to ensure that the tools are useful and being used.


In this role, you will collaborate closely with designers, art directors and copywriters to develop creative assets, guidelines and toolkits that support brand storytelling moments. You will also work with other cross-functional partners, as well as external partners and agencies. You are comfortable with creative direction that is reliant on visuals and copy to express an idea. You have the ability to apply the brand identity and design system across a variety of creative communications. You create connections with other teams at Sonos to guarantee consistency and quality in our channels. 


What You'll Do

  • Create assets for various brand touchpoints including advertising, social media, internal communications, Sonos Radio, and more.
  • Co-create with designers, copywriters, producers, planners and marketers.
  • Assist art directors and designers to develop internal guidelines documents and toolkits
  • Pitch ideas (written, verbally, and visually) to peers and seniors.
  • Assist in the creation of decks, honing your presentation skills.
  • Faithfully follow our brand guidelines and ensure others do the same. 
  • Participate in discussions and work to help define the Sonos brand.


What You'll Need

Basic Qualifications:

  • A portfolio that illustrates your creativity, exceptional skills and love for design
  • A bachelor’s degree in a creative field such as graphic design, fine arts, visual communication, art direction
  • 1-3 years of experience in the graphic design field 
  • Proficiency in Adobe products (working knowledge of Figma, After Effects is a plus)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Enjoys collaborative environments and contributing to a team dynamic
  • Able to understand and apply constructive creative feedback
  • A desire to stay current with design and industry trends
  • Familiarity with various social media platforms
