IT Support Specialist

The IT Support Specialist will provide fast, friendly, and helpful technical assistance on computer systems. They will be expected to answer questions on basic technical issues while providing advice and assistance to solve them. They will also help improve support processes across the organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance in-person, over chat, and over email
  • Perform remote and in-person troubleshooting of both hardware and software through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by employees and walk them through problem solving process
  • Provide accurate information on IT processes and offerings
  • Provision and deprovision access to software 
  • Perform basic admin functions within a wide range of IT systems
  • Write clear, concise and accurate documentation on work procedures
  • Assist with hardware inventory control
  • Assist with tracking licenses 
  • Install and update software on employee computers
  • Participate on project teams to ensure successful implementation of new systems or upgrades to existing systems
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and installations of computer hardware and software
  • Provide basic training to new hires on IT systems


Requirements and Preferred Experience:

  • 1+ years previous experience as an IT support technician or technical support role 
  • Tech Savvy with working knowledge of OSX, Windows, iOS, and Android 
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Hands on approach to problem solving
  • A team player attitude, working across organizations and company to continue improving the way we serve our employees
  • Working knowledge of Google Apps, Office 365, Okta, Atlassian preferred
  • Experience working with cloud based identity management and cloud based software
  • Technical certifications (CCNA , MTA, MCSA) preferred
