Parker Meggitt San Diego, CA – Sorrento (Gas Turbine) - Past, Present, Future: formerly Precision Engine Controls Corporation (PECC), this location was acquired by Meggitt in 2014 as our products enable the integration of valves and actuators with electronic turbine controls, rather than having to package them separately on the turbine. This eliminates the need for wiring between the electronics and control units, a potential weak spot.

Parker Meggitt San Diego, CA – Sorrento (Gas Turbine) already established industrial valve engineering capability, the acquisition gave Parker Meggitt a major market share in two key industrial gas turbine market segments – aero-derivative (30MW-6-MW) and small frame (<30MW) – and a much broader all-electric product portfolio.

The IT Support Analyst defines, configures, tests, trains and supports business-related information technology requirements and systems. Leads limited scope projects using information technology to enable business improvement and perform critical analysis under limited supervision.


  • Provides analytical advice and direction for application and technology that impacts business operations; Understands how applications and technologies impact the business 
  • Analyze and apply Enterprise data to make recommendations / modifications to streamline & simplify processes while reducing operating costs 
  • Develops and deploys appropriate Digital and Information Technology solutions 
  • Establishes and develops procedures for proper utilization of Digital and IT technology 
  • Develops and delivers training to support process changes and new technology introductions 
  • Evaluates and modifies existing technology to allow for changes in business requirements or equipment configurations 
  • Overnight travel to remote locations to assist in the implementation of technical solutions as needed 
  • Provide after-hour technical support as needed 
  • Assist in training and mentoring new team members

Education: REQUIRED - Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related area (or international equivalent) 


  • 2+ years related IT experience 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated leadership aptitude, learning agility, and adaptability
  • Strong interpersonal skills, relates well with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to establish own priorities and adapt to changing priorities
  • Demonstrates ability to manage projects 

WORK AUTHORIZATION: This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements; therefore, a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. U.S. Citizenship/Permanent Resident is required for most positions.

Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $68K-$111K (Target budget: $75K-$90K)
