IT Specialist

Sherman Oaks, CA

The Refinery is an award-winning entertainment advertising agency located in the Los Angeles area. We work with all of the major studios producing creative digital, print, and A/V campaigns for theatrical properties and television/streaming content. We are seeking to expand our team with a client-facing, detail-oriented professional who must have project management experience in a fast-paced agency environment handling multiple entertainment industry clients.


In addition, we are seeking candidates who embody our core values – Refiners are talented, kind, client-focused, ego free and passionate. Even when our clients change their minds for seemingly the 100th time – we don’t ever quit.  We still celebrate everything – from birthdays to Black History month to National Donut Day! Our highly competitive Halloween costume contest continued virtually this year and didn’t disappoint. We’ve also organized some great activities including a sunflower-growing contest, poker and trivia nights, and Zoom yoga and meditation.


Enough about us, here’s what we’re looking for in a candidate:

This position requires a successful track record of assisting users in a Mac heavy environment while maintaining a proactive approach and a sense of humor. Individuals with Genius Bar experience and a desire to move into an office setting are encouraged to apply.


Candidate Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years hands-on experience providing superior technical support to MAC users, preferably in a creative environment
  • Proven track record in effectively maintaining and improving network infrastructure, security protocols, file management systems, and backup procedures
  • Advanced proficiency in OS X, Outlook and Contacts, and the Adobe creative suite of products
  • Successful history of working closely with management to proactively determine future needs in hardware and software
  • Service-minded with a passion for improving the productivity of the staff
  • Demonstrated commitment to remain up-to-date on technological advances, product upgrades, and competitor practices
  • Well organized, detail oriented and a track record of impeccable follow-through on requests and projects


This position is full time, onsite. Highly competitive salary with full benefit package (i.e., health insurance, paid time off, matched 401k) is offered.
