IT Network Engineer

The IT department at Airtable is seeking a Network Administrator which is a hands-on position responsible for supporting Airtable employees’ IT needs with a focus on troubleshooting and maintaining network connectivity.
What you'll do
- Maintaining computer networks and systems including software, routers and other physical hardware
- Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., SD-WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN)
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
- Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Respond to hardware, software, and network service requests and provide support for these requests; prioritize and escalate as appropriate
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and support network equipment, A/V equipment & various peripherals
- Document procedures, policies, technical instructions and securitization practices
- Monitors and reviews system log reports and network documentation
- Work on IT projects from research to implementation
- Walkthrough of meeting rooms and upkeep of all video/audio conferencing systems
Who you are
- 3+ years IT experience in a customer-facing work environment
- 2+ years IT networking experience
- In the field knowledge and experience of advanced networking concepts (WiFi, LAN, WAN, DHCP, DNS, SD-WAN etc)
- You are a curious person ready to learn and share ideas
- Experience with Aruba Switches and Brocade switches is a huge plus
- Experience with Ruckus WAP’s
- Possess good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- A people person who likes solving people’s issues
- Able to juggle multiple conversations with internal employees, and track trends and data to help improve employee happiness
- Solutions-oriented: what you fix/solve will impact all of Airtable
- You are self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently
