IT Manager

We're seeking to hire our first dedicated IT Manager, based in the Los Angeles area, as this position will be remote but could become hybrid if we choose to do partial office return. The IT Manager will be responsible for analyzing our current systems and assets, recommending and implementing solutions and upgrades, and maintaining data backups. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of the surrounding current and evolving application & systems solutions, industry standards, and best practices. This role will have an immediate impact on the day-to-day efficiency of our IT operations, and an ongoing impact on our overall growth.


What you'll do:

  • Provide day to day maintenance, troubleshooting and support to entire IT infrastructure, including telecommunication networks and internet connectivity for employees based in the US (primarily California) as well as Korea (Seoul) and Beijing China
  • Evaluate, test, and install upgrades to various platform operating systems and applications; design and execute projects to improve systems and operations
  • Standardize software, equipment, and processes across the company
  • Develop and document new support and operations processes
  • Manage equipment orders, tools access, setup, and configuration for new hires, contractors, and vendors
  • Maintain user account information to 3rd party services including access, permissions, and systems groups, and perform system administration functions
  • Track and maintain hardware and software inventory; manage software updates, assets, and licenses
  • Develop, review, and certify backup and disaster recovery procedures and plans
  • Ensure that IT activities are within vendor SLAs and reasonable limits of applicable laws, codes, and regulations
  • Work with 3rd party service reps and vendors on a regular basis to ensure things are running smoothly
  • Lead advanced Help Desk support for all personnel; monitoring and troubleshooting IT-related issues in-person and remotely
  • Supporting and setting up computers, laptops and docking stations, monitors, keyboards, cell phones, printers and copiers as needed
  • Monitor and administer company website as needed


What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, technology, or related fields
  • 5+ years of experience as IT Manager, network administrator, or related position
  • Experience operating as sole IT expert
  • Advanced technical understanding of IT processes - including applications and infrastructure, asset management, disaster recovery, data privacy, and risk assessment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
