IT Manager

Ontario, CA

What will you work on?

Launch and lead Spin Master’s Quality Assurance team as we implement a robust testing and release management practice in partnership with key business stakeholders to improve overall co-ordination, productivity, quality, client experience, and business continuity.  


How will you create impact?

Release Management

SAP plays a central role in our IT landscape and is complemented with a range of core systems. These systems need to be maintained, and their access & usage by IT teams managed. 

  • Coordinating activities across SAP & core systems, including development, testing & maintenance work.
  • Publishing & communicating the calendar of events among IT teams, business partners, & stakeholders
  • Ensuring that teams are accessing & executing system activities according to the established schedule.
  • Managing the movement of code or “transports” through the promotion path for SAP & other systems.
  • Ensuring the integrity and synchronicity of code and data within each SAP & core system environment.
  • Scheduling & managing the refresh of data among SAP & core system environments.
  • Working with Change & Release Management teams to ensure smooth promotion events.
  • Collaborating with IT teams to establish & govern standard release management procedures.


SAP Systems include: SAP S/4HANA, BW, BOBJ, IBP, SAC, BTP, SolMan


Core Systems include: High Radius, ShipERP, Planisware, Gentran, Informatica, Workday, Concur, Salesforce


Test Management:

A heavy emphasis will be placed on automation of testing activities leveraging key technologies and automation resources. 

  • Managing governance, co-ordination and operations of solution testing & release activities.
  • Conduct tests using automation resources and technologies at every viable opportunity.
  • Scheduling, sequencing, and coordinating test & release activities with IT and business partners.
  • Contributing to change management activities and services as changes are tested and released.
  • Operating and supporting test automations and associated infrastructure.
  • Ensuring business continuity and compliance requirements are met.
  • Establishing QA metrics, measuring (and reporting) performance and driving improvements accordingly.
  • Determining and driving our QA strategy and roadmap in partnership with stakeholders.


Automation Technologies include: UiPath, BAAR (Allied Media), Tricentis, Microsoft Power Automate.


General Management:

  • Building and managing our QA team as we strengthen our solution test & release capabilities.
  • Establishing QA metrics, measuring (and reporting) performance and driving improvements accordingly.
  • Determining and driving our QA strategy and roadmap in partnership with stakeholders.


What are your skills and experience?

  • University Degree; Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent preferred
  • 7-10+ years of experience
