IT Manager

New York, NY

Zola, one of New York’s fastest growing startups, is seeking a talented, creative, and passionate IT Manager to join our corporate information technology team. Zola is growing rapidly and is constantly pushing the boundaries of technology. We value hard work, an orientation for speed and a passion for developing best-in-class user experiences. This role will manage the IT infrastructure for both our New York City and Montreal offices as well as supporting a remote employee population.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and collaborate with existing managed IT service firm 
  • Support all aspects of the corporate IT infrastructure including design, implementation and end user interaction
  • Provide support for business applications/tools and Okta environment
  • Partner with Talent and Facilities teams to manage and optimize employee lifecycle processes from an IT perspective
  • Work closely with third party vendors to facilitate improvements and renewals
  • Responsible for ordering, acquisition, inventory, and disposition of hardware and software
  • Provide technical support for Zoom video conferencing and A/V setups
  • Able to jump in and be hands-on day to day when necessary
  • Create, establish and maintain IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by the company
  • Develop, review, and certify backup and disaster recovering procedures and plans
  • Manage security processes and training
  • Own the creation and management of the IT budget 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT related field
  • 5+ years of experience in an IT Help Desk support role
  • Expert knowledge of scripting languages (Windows, Unix, macOS)
  • Proven ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff
  • Excellent customer service and people skills with a willingness to learn
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience supporting and maintaining an office network
  • Strong proficiency with Windows and macOS based systems
  • Experience with G Suite, Okta, macOS, Zoom, A/V support
  • Experience supporting Networking and VPN
  • Experience with Windows and macOS
  • Experience with managing IT vendors throughout a vendor’s lifecycle
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
