IT Manager

What you will do

We are now looking for an IT Manager, Productivity Services within Consumer Services North America for Volvo and Mack Brands. You will be in close collaboration with our two main business areas and customers developing services that will help grow the existing services portfolio of Productivity services. You will have responsibility to create roadmaps, budgets, resource plans and strategies to support the Productivity products and services.


You should have knowledge of how connected services and machine data, together with a genuine interest in understanding the needs of our business areas and customer, can be used to bring the Fleet services area forward helping to improve value to our customers. You should have a proven track record of working with service development. You are passionate for people, customer value, and technology.


Core Responsibilities:

  • In close collaboration with business areas and customers, establish a roadmap for fleet services based on identified needs and available connected assets
  • Grow the connected fleet services portfolio
  • Develop, improve and maintain the new services to be high performing over the lifecycle
  • Lead the way of a minimal viable product approach and user oriented services
  • Build, develop, and lead a high performing team and innovative culture

Competencies: 

  • Solid experience in services, especially fleet related
  • Genuine interest in our business areas and customer business
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Successful in building excellent working cross-functional relationships and networks
  • Strong leadership courage, entrepreneurial spirit, and ownership mentality
  • A strong believer in culture, genuine care for people, and value driven performance


Education Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.


Experience Required:

  • Ideally, 5+ years of management experience
  • Ideally, 10+ years of experience and progressive experience in managing IT services, preferably for a manufacturing business
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization
  • Ability to work in a team environment, manage multiple clients, and provide consultative skills throughout the process
  • Ideal candidate will be highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency
