IT Manager

Troy, OH

The selected candidate will be responsible to lead the team to develop, implement and maintain all information systems within the division. The Information Systems Manager will oversee the daily operations of the IT area, including end-user help desk support, technical support for the Warewash business systems, and development of information security policies and procedures. This position supports multiple platforms including servers, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices, and may require independent work, sharing information and assisting others with work assignments. Candidates for this position must have excellent problem-solving skills in order to diagnose, evaluate and resolve problem situations. 


What you will do:

  • Serve as a consultant for business system improvements and support new and existing technical initiatives.
  • Assure systems meet all audit requirements and implement practices that support organizational growth.
  • Manage the IT spend, including contracts and maintenance renewals.
  • Lead an IT staff to coordinate IT support and services across five business locations.
  • Set up and maintain laptops and desktops for end users, according to established standards.
  • Maintain a secure environment through Active Directory and established security policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining Warewash servers and infrastructure as needed.
  • Provide technical support for critical business application, such as ERP and Engineering systems.
  • Develop SQL queries and processes to support business needs.
  • Assist in system software upgrades as needed.


What we are looking for:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Hands-on experience with administration of an IT Infrastructure including but not limited to; Windows Server, desktop and laptop support virtualization, security, databases, backups and Help Desk
  • Experience in supporting manufacturing business processes in an integrated ERP environment.
  • Ability to build relationships within the business, across the organization and externally
  • Excellent listening, consultative, presentation, organizational, project management, written and oral communication skills. The ability to prioritize and follow-up as required.
  • Must be a creative problem solver, have a sense of urgency, and demonstrate leadership and project management skills.
  • Minimal travel will be required (to business locations) — up to 10%.


Qualifications:

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Handle multiple work assignments concurrently
  • Effective oral and written communications as well as effective presentation skills
