IT Executive Level Deskside Support

A Fortune 500 company, Fluor is looking for an Operations Specialist to become a member of the IT Desktop Support Team at the Dallas headquarters' office located in Irving, Texas.


Scope:

The specialist will have in-depth knowledge and experience in a wide variety of Information Technology (IT) subjects. This position will effectively communicate with customers, vendors, IT peers and company management to deliver measurable results. This position will collaborate and share knowledge within the global IT organization.


Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide initial point of contact to internal customers (Fluor Directors and Executives); respond to concerns, incidents, and service escalations; coordinate quick response for the resolution on issues and outages
  • Utilize technical expertise to research, respond and resolve, in a timely manner and in accordance with standards, to questions received via telephone calls, texts and/or emails
  • Identify subsequent levels of escalation and escalate as appropriate while maintaining ownership; monitor critical local issues through to resolution; communicate action and progress updates to customers
  • Work collaboratively with the deskside support team by providing a service management focus, to include monitoring of ticket performance; service level attainment review and guiding the improvement of knowledge entries, process and efficiency
  • Communicate policies, practices, and processes across functions to ensure consistently high performance; evaluate customer feedback to develop quality improvement processes
  • Ensure IT security practices are met
  • Provide end-user computer training, as required
  • Coordinate with outside vendors to place orders including hardware, software technical services, as required
  • Coordinate IT projects/initiatives; assist in developing long-term strategies and capacity planning for meeting future IT needs
  • Support and assist the Service Delivery Manager in the change management process; ensure changes comply with quality expectations and coordinate communication to the business
  • Coordinate Asset Management to include checking hardware stock and updating system
  • Maintain critical planning, monitoring, and reporting processes as well as required documentation, for the timely coordination and completion of project tasks
  • Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management
  • Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
  • Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
  • Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
  • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality
  • Other duties as assigned


Working Conditions:

  • 100% onsite, within a favorable indoor office workspace
  • Limited travel to other offices or meeting spaces within the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex
  • Infrequent domestic travel is possible

Basic Job Requirements

  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and five (5) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to nine (9) years if non-degreed
  • 3-5 years experience with Microsoft 365
  • Experience with provisioning mobile devices
  • 1+ years experience supporting audio-visual hardware (Crestron, Cisco SX10, Cisco Touch 10, Cisco Webex Room Kits, Barco)
  • Experience supporting in-person and virtual meetings (Microsoft Teams, Webex, Zoom, etc.)
  • 1+ years experience in IT Asset Management functions (adding, auditing and disposal processes)

Preferred Qualifications

CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL Foundation or other technical certifications
