IT Business Analyst

San Francisco, CA

The Business Analyst provides expertise in building the baseline infrastructure, integrations, and visualizations needed to support real time decision making across Sales, Operations, and Finance organizations. We’re looking for a strong, self-motivated individual who brings technical and process leadership as well as a service-oriented mindset in everything they do. 

  • Responsible for business process analysis, requirements gathering, functional and technical design, solution implementation, systems integration, testing, user training, and support.
  • Develop suite of tools to empower business to make strategic decisions using real-time data and insights
  • Document current and future state business processes across multiple functions.
  • Identify key opportunities and gaps in core business processes and technology solutions.
  • Implements best practices, acts as a strategic advisor to drive innovation and improvement.
  • Provide user support and administration for multiple enterprise applications.
  • Contribute to business intelligence design and development, create reports and dashboards.
  • Collaborate on integrations, building data sets, and maintaining data integrity.
  • Develop and execute project plans including schedules, milestones, critical path, scope, and budget.
  • Track and communicate project status to project team, stakeholders, sponsors, and vendors.
  • Drive project teams to resolve key issues in a timely manner, identify risks and plan for mitigation.
  • Assist with systems support issues and other tasks assigned by the IT director.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar technical role.
  • Experience with implementing and supporting enterprise applications, ERP, CRM.
  • Hands-on experience using Excel, SQL queries, and Power BI for data analysis and reporting. 
  • Proficiency in utilizing project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Smartsheet.
  • Experience with business processes for supply chain management from production to distribution.
  • Experience with order-to-cash processes for E-Commerce (Shopify or related platforms), retail, and wholesales.
  • Ability to present effectively to audiences at every level of the organizational structure.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet milestones, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and sharp critical thinking.

EDUCATION

  • BS/BA in Systems Management, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

COMPENSATION

In addition to the benefits above, this role has a pay range between $110,000 to $130,000 + equity. This pay range represents what we believe, in good faith, this role will pay. The final pay will depend on many factors, including years and depth of experience, level, and location of the employee. We only expect to pay the top of the range in rare and exceptional circumstances, for candidates that far exceed the requirements and expectations of the position.
