Inventory Specialist

Battle Creek, MI

The Inventory Specialist executes Audit Programs across our Supply Chain Network in accordance to Warehouse Management Systems and Warehouse Business Process & Procedures. This role works closely with the Supply Chain Network on their review and findings. This role modifies Audit Programs as the business changes and calls out Network Issues while working with Senior Manager for timely resolution. This role supports CLS & Logistic Finance special project work as needed. This role also supports all sites from an Inventory Control systems perspective including SAP, WMS, JDA.

HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Attention to Detail – You will execute Inventory Control Audits for finished goods only. You will also create Audit Reports ad confirm consistent Audit Issues across all sites.
  • Continuous Improvement – In this role you will train facilities with the proper way to resolve Shipping Discrepancies and help resolve as needed. You will determine best continuous monitoring reviews to be performed monthly/quarterly or twice a year. Perform the monitoring and escalate red flags to Senior Manager / Facilities. 
  • Build Partnerships – You will solicit feedback from our customers and address opportunities as needed. Work with Corporate on Sarbanes Oxley Issues and coordinate PWC requests with the business.

 

YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree; with some related work experience
  • SAP knowledge
  • Computer skills, including strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making, and communication skills
  • Focus on accuracy and attention to detail
