Inventory Specialist

Apollo Beach, FL

Inventory Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and up-to-date inventory of all plants, plant material, plant by-products, and medicinal marijuana products by conducting daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts. Including but not limited to data entry/record keeping, reporting, monitoring, and managing the physical inventory, reporting, and working cross functionally with production and fulfillment teams to meet business objectives and maximize profitability. The successful candidate will ensure accurate inventory counts maintaining the integrity of the data and must be a trustworthy individual with high level of integrity.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and print new tags for plants daily.
  • Digitally move plants and assign them to the new rooms. 
  • Update changes or new status of plants in the system. 
  • Ensure an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all products in house.
  • Conduct a daily review of all inventory differences. Compare physical inventory counts to digital and adjust as needed.
  • Research and resolve out of balance conditions. Ensuring any open audit issues are closed by showing evidence of required sustainment.
  • Immediately report any discrepancies to the Manager for further action if it cannot be resolved within a 24-hour period.
  • Audit all final products before entering the system and perform regular vault inventories.
  • Utilize spreadsheets and create reports utilizing Excel and Bio Track THC.
  • Follow procedures & SOPs established by the company and management.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in Inventory.
  • Background in Cannabis Industry a plus.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. 
  • Seed-to-sale POS/CRM (Biotrack THC)
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Etc.).
  • Must have proficient basic math skills.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be comfortable with working in a fast paced environment.
  • Be flexible to work various shifts and available for overtime and/or weekend hours as needed.


Physical and Mental Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 50 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus. Working Environment:

Work is performed in a warehouse environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
