Inventory Control Manager

Palatka, FL

The Inventory Control Manager position will be responsible for the management of the inventory activities for the facility in accordance with the Company’s policies, principles, and procedures. The facility Quality Assurance Manager will continuously review all the operational processes, systems, assets, and methodologies used in their department and will develop a strategic and tactical operational plan with the aim of controlling costs, generating savings, reconciling inventory, and maximizing available working capital.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Executes inventory control measures to ensure the company minimizes inventory holding, maximizes stock tracking system, and ensure entry accuracy. 
  • Ensures incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedures.
  • Provides support to ensure all inventory differences are identified, researched, cleared within a specified period.
  • Mitigates any identified audit deficiencies that are noted by providing training and sustainment support.
  • Ensures raw materials are ready and available for cultivation or production processes as and when required.
  • Track seed to sale of all products as they leave the facility.
  • Develops, maintains, advises, and executes audits of internal processes and controls.
  • Liaison with department managers/leads to ensure they understand the value and importance of inventory.
  • Conduct a daily review of all inventory differences. Immediately report any discrepancies to the Compliance Manager for further action if it cannot be resolved within a 24-hour period.
  • Research and resolve out of balance conditions.
  • Mitigate any audit deficiencies.
  • Train staff on standard operating processes linked to any deficiencies found.
  • Ensure any open audit issues are closed by showing evidence of required sustainment.
  • Organizes, manages, and assists in physical inventory counts.
  • Monitors all inventory activities of the BiotrackTHC and responds to any discrepancies by notifying the location’s management and investigating the discrepancy.
  • Ensures inventory counts are being performed on schedule with acceptable results and the proper documentation is being executed and filed.
  • Directs the settlement of all inventory discrepancies and reports the resolution of such discrepancies.
  • Develops monthly summary of all inventory discrepancies for the Compliance Manager and describes how the issues have been resolved and mitigated.
  • Monitors obsolete, poor selling, and dated materials and products. Identities items for disposition. Supervises the handling of products for sale, returned products, discarded inventory, and ensures accurate and appropriate entries are made in ICS to reflect activity.
  • Establishes, maintains, and assesses inventory turnover and product level goals.
  • Performs other duties as required.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Inventory Management, or similar financial-based field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of warehouse management, audit, inventory control or related area.
  • Must have reconcilement and research experience.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills specifically with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Skill in managing physical resources (budgeting, inventories, equipment, materials).
  • Extensive math skills required for inventory, projections, measurements, calculations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and absolute reliability and honesty.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
  • Good judgment, initiative, attention to detail, drive for change, getting organizational support, building ownership and commitment, making though decisions and developing others.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to successfully register with the state’s cannabis commission as an agent.
  • Must be able to comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.


Physical and Mental Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 50 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus. \Working Environment:

Work is performed in a warehouse environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
