Inventory Control Coordinator

Monkton, ON

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Inventory Control Coordinator - 18 Month Contract.


Reporting to the Inventory Control Supervisor, the Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for the daily inventory management of cannabis assets including plants and bulk cannabis, and quarterly inventory of finished goods and consumables. The tracking, controlling, reporting of all cannabis, and supporting the production planners as they create the packaging work orders for the bulk cannabis along with active participation in all inventory processes are fundamental responsibilities of this role.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform all duties in a safe and attentive manner;
  • Develop and maintain a tracking system(s) for all bulk cannabis products;
  • Develop and maintain a control plan to ensure minimal inventory variances;
  • Coordinate and ensure execution of plant inventory verification and auditing;
  • Contribute to the development of process improvements and sound inventory controls practices, as it relates to cultivation inventory, bulk cannabis, finished goods and consumables;
  • Actively participate in all inventories counting and reconciling processes;
  • Interact with the warehouse, Production and Processing staff to ensure the correct and timely delivery of bulk cannabis;
  • Interact with the Production Planner regularly and identify any issues with selected bulk cannabis lots;
  • Handle any product returns (RTV’s) and mass destruction events (CRA Destruction);
  • Must be able to lift and handle units weighing up to 25 Kgs;
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Proven proficiency in spreadsheet and database applications is required;
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, is required;
  • Ability to operate a forklift, electric pallet jack or other transport vehicle safely and effectively;
  • Experience communicating complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels, both in writing and verbally, is required;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management;
  • Proven ability to identify and generate recommendations through strategic and actionable analysis;
  • Bachelor's Degree or minimum of 3 years equivalent experience.
