Inventory Control Analyst

As the Inventory Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring inventory levels of purchased items. Utilizing sales forecasts and production plans and considering item specific parameters, the Inventory Analyst works with Purchasing to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained. The ideal candidate will be motivated, dynamic, collaborative, and manage multiple deadlines. This position is based out of Stayner, Ontario.
What you’ll be doing:
- Maintain compliance with the laws and regulations related to The Cannabis Act
- Provide daily leadership and support to the vault team members including training on all SOPs and SAP transactions
- Coordinate daily planning and scheduling of all internal deliveries for production, keeping Inventory Control and Production Manager up to date on any abnormalities
- Support inventory procedures and controls by counting, cleaning, organizing, labeling, and stocking materials while always maintaining accurate ERP data
- Lead inventory cycle counts and perform investigation/reconciliations to resolve any discrepancies, update ERP accordingly
- Acting as a subject matter expert (SME) in activities related to Vault operations including inventory management, proper inventory handling, receiving, internal distribution, and production support requirements
- Ensure all health and safety policies and standards are upheld. Identify and communicate health and safety related concerns to management and health and safety representatives
- Support operational goals and standards, effectively using systems, escalation processes, and inventory control procedures
- Review data and report analytics for inventory KPIs including cycle count progress, accuracy, inventory value, status of aged/obsolete inventory
- Investigate and solve inventory discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and create appropriate Corrective Action Plans Stage product and manpower in accordance with production schedule demands Ensure FIFO (First In First Out) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) are followed
- Participation in Year End Physical Inventory is required
- All other duties as assigned
Your Environment:
- Perform general physical activities to load, unload, sort and move products and materials by hand or using basic material handling equipment
- Frequent walking, sitting, standing, crouching, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Overtime and weekend work during Year End Physical Inventory
- May be exposed to potential allergens
You’ll need to have:
- Post-Secondary education in relevant field. CPIM, PMAC/CPP type designation preferred
- 2-3 years working in a warehouse environment or operation experience is preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in a coordinator role
- Proficient in using all Microsoft Office programs and ERP systems experience, SAP being an asset
- Advanced Excel Skills Capable of understanding and communicating policies and procedures to team members and ensure compliance
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Must be able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and function in stressful situations with a sense of urgency in achieving goals
- Able to provide a clear Criminal Record Check
