Internal Communications Specialist

In this role you will be responsible for creating and distributing organization-wide employee communications in our U.S. and Canada geographies, to promote a unified, global culture and ensure employees understand the company’s vision, purpose, core values and business strategy. This person is also responsible for leading projects related to organizational communications, soliciting feedback about communications needs from senior stakeholders including human resources (People) leadership, country management, and Delivery organization leaders, and ensuring that we are meeting those needs. We are looking for someone who can bring a creative and innovative communications style to engage a global workforce. This position will report to the Sr. Director, Global Corporate Communications & Marketing.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement a proactive internal communications plan to support a broader communication strategy consistent with a hyper-growth company with a geographically diverse employee audience working closely with the People, Talent Acquisition and regional Delivery teams
  • Help to create, manage, and deliver the global internal communications and content strategy in local contexts
  • Write, edit and design best-in-class, impactful, and engaging internal communications content that effectively promotes the region(s) with different stakeholders such as executive leadership, employees, practices, account managers, etc
  • Create and coordinate employee newsletters
  • Continue developing existing internal communication channels to reach the appropriate audience according to the stakeholder's needs assist the Global Communications team in identifying and implementing the best communications strategies for communications campaigns, including but not limited to our intranet, internal collaboration platforms, executive email communications and video-content management
  • Provide internal communications support to teams across the company/regions, specifically with writing, proofreading, guidance on best practices, aligning with existing communications plans and processes, etc
  • Support cultural and organizational changes with communications by ensuring clarity and consistency of messaging and alignment with business goals as well as EPAM’s brand and tone
  • Measure effectiveness of internal campaigns and channels and provide recommendations to department leaders to optimize communications process, planning, creation and assessment
  • Identify opportunities for creative and innovative approaches to communications that result in increased and sustained engagement
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of internal employee events as needed and appropriate


REQUIREMENTS

  • Passionate about storytelling and highly skilled in written and verbal communications — writes reader-centric communications that are easy and interesting to read
  • Excellent editor and proofreader
  • Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to develop ideas into executable plans
  • Able to distill complicated, technical messages into easy-to-understand language and hone a narrative from multiple views to one and provide output that is aligned with our corporate vision
  • Ability to “see ahead” and steer on communications rather than operate reactively as a default
  • Shows initiative and ability to manage time, prioritize multiple and concurrent tasks and quickly produce results under tight deadlines. Must be deadline and detail-oriented while simultaneously being flexible and able to meet sudden and unpredictable needs
  • Good knowledge of internal/employee communications best practices; committed to enhancing the effectiveness of employee communications
  • Diplomatic and comfortable giving and receiving constructive feedback while maintaining positive relationships
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization and work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to work effectively independently and as part of a dynamic, high-performing team to drive toward common goals
  • Able to analyze content and channel effectiveness
  • Able to work in a pressure-driven environment with excellent judgment, critical thinking and decision-making capabilities
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Results driven strategic thinker; ability to identify and prioritize key opportunities and implement change expediently
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or Creative Writing preferred. However, anyone who is motivated and passionate about solving real-world challenges with effective communications are welcome to apply
  • Intelligent, ambitious applicant with a minimum of 2-4 years of corporate experience, with a passion to expand their skills on a collaborative team

This position operates in a remote capacity, but you must live within driving distance to an EPAM office. Your recruiter will discuss specific details about work location during the initial interview process
