Atlanta, GA +1

At Sonos we want to create the ultimate listening experience for our customers and know that it starts by listening to each other. As part of the Sonos team, you’ll collaborate with people of all styles, skill sets, and backgrounds to realize our vision while fostering a community where everyone feels included and empowered to do the best work of their lives.

This role can be done from home

That’s why we’ve been distributed from the start: initially between offices in Boston & Santa Barbara, and now with additional offices in Seattle, San Francisco & Paris. This role can be done from anywhere in the United States – any of our offices, or remotely from home. It’s about impact, not location.

Reporting to the Director of Internal Communications, the Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for translating business and HR strategies into key messages and compelling written content for employees and job candidates, as well as supporting development of internal programs and events to drive employee engagement, create alignment and shape culture. This person will also play an integral role in helping to coordinate the company’s first-ever global employee gathering.

The ideal candidate has a genuine interest and curiosity in Sonos’s business, in advancing DEI,  and in evolving new, more inclusive ways of working in a globally distributed and fast-paced technology company.

What you’ll do:

  • You’ll advance ongoing editorial planning and scheduling, owning the internal communications calendar, suggesting content ideas and the right medium for the right message, as well as coordinating with key stakeholders across the business
  • You’ll develop written content such as newsletter and Intranet content, talking points and messaging, and external recruitment communications such as LinkedIn content
  • A keen eye for detail and a skillful editor, you’ll ensure communications messaging and materials are high quality, accurate, appropriate and integrated with company priorities and themes
  • You’ll assist in the planning, coordination, promotion and execution of internal employee and recruiting events – both virtual and in person
  • You’ll implement metrics reports to measure the impact of internal communication channels and bring an always-learning approach to drive continual improvement
  • You’ll field inbound internal communications requests, acting as liaison and communications partner to other teams & ERGs, bringing a client service mindset and a can-do attitude to all your interactions
  • You’ll partner with the office of DEI, ERGs and other employees to infuse DEI and culture storytelling into internal and recruitment communications
  • You’ll help to “mine” for internal storytelling & recognition opportunities that bring a human-centric element to communications and help to celebrate and shape Sonos culture
  • You’ll help to devise unique and engaging ways to bring external brand and product moments to life internally, including through employee gifting programs or other avenues
  • You may also work with our sustainability and social impact team to engage employees in these efforts
