Internal Communications - Senior Specialist

Louisville, KY +3

We are searching for a dedicated and seasoned communications professional to develop fresh and creative communications deliverables across a wide array of channels. Must be able to execute against project deadlines and the overall strategy in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities.


The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple communications projects simultaneously, deal with competing priorities, and negotiate with project managers and other requesters when conflicts arise.

  • Designs, writes, and edits a range of employee communications, newsletters, and informational materials for internal distribution to meet communication/project objectives.
  • Evaluates and interprets needs, analyzes the audience, and determines the most effective means of communication methodology to effectively and efficiently support the objectives of a function or business.
  • Tracks usage and readership metrics and conducts analytics to inform strategic and content decisions, and provides recommendations to management.
  • Oversees project-related budgets, to support operational and strategic goals.
  • Develops and writes presentation materials for firm-wide meetings and events
  • Manages the content for the firm’s social media platforms, including the creation of new content, topical external news stories and results of internal polls and surveys.
  • Provides mentoring to less experienced staff, in order to continue output improvement.
  • Works effectively with all levels of internal (and external, if appropriate) stakeholders, to support the execution of communications materials.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $76,000 to $126,600.


The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
