Internal Communications Manager

The Internal Communications Manager plans and implements Maritz internal communications strategies and projects. Supports communications related to driving positive employee experience. Serves as editor and content manager for the Maritz intranet. Writes and edits numerous internal communications materials. Responsible for some photography and video, including vendor oversight as needed.


Primary Responsibilities

  • 40% Manages the planning and development of internal communications projects, including newsletters, townhall events and e-mails.
  • 40% Serves as editor and content manager of company intranet.
  • 20% Additional employment brand projects, including surveys and award entries.


Qualifications

  1. 5 years of experience in communications, public relations or related field.
  2. Strong writer with experience managing digital communications tools.
  3. Skilled at project management and organization. Proven at managing multiple projects simultaneously within required deadlines and prioritizing among competing requests.
  4. Professional demeanor with strong personal communication skills and the ability to effectively represent Maritz to individuals at all levels internally and with external organizations.
  5. Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, Marketing, or related field required or equivalent work experience.
  6. Critical thinking skills; ability to problem solve.
  7. Experience with Unily a plus.
