You will need excellent judgment, a strong sense of Google's voice and culture, as well as a commitment to our core values of communicating with Googlers openly and transparently. This role focuses on the experience of U.S. Googlers at a site level. Your communications vision will enable the Google sites you support to thrive, celebrating what makes them unique while connecting them to Google overall. Your communications work will help Global Communications & Public Affairs itself operate more efficiently, proactively address challenges across sites, and amplify the magic of each Google site.

You’ll need to be a strong project manager, an exceptional writer, a captivating storyteller, a persuasive executive coach, a strategic thought partner who brings people together across an organization chart, and an organized and inspiring communicator. An expert in your field, you inspire followership and have deep knowledge of people programs and workplace culture.

We help inform and educate users, advertisers, partners, opinion leaders--and our own employees--about the benefits of Google's products, our distinctive company culture/values and our approach to the big public policy issues of the day. You are quick-witted, entrepreneurial and intellectually curious. To succeed in this role, you are willing to try new things and can manage numerous projects with tight deadlines. Things happen quickly at Google, and to do great work, you need to be an enthusiastic team player who can work cross-functionally with partners across PR, comms, marketing, product and beyond.

  • Measure and analyze internal communications efforts for their effectiveness against stated goals.
