Internal Communications Lead

As a Communications Business Partner you will become an integral member of our Internal Communications team. This team is responsible for all aspects of internal corporate messaging and serves across the enterprise. In this role you will support and enable the Internal Communications strategy by working proactively with the business unit(s) to build a strong internal network, as well as produce impactful and measurable communication activities that engage all relevant internal stakeholders in a way that aligns with the larger company vision and strategy, and strongly connects their work with achieving our business goals.

 

 As a Communications Business Partner you can expect to:

  • Partner with business unit leaders to deliver projects and programs within the organization that drive engagement
  • Build a strong knowledge base of the specific business unit(s) and understanding of how it operates within the overall company structure
  • Collaborate with members of the organization to gain an in-depth understanding of the different stakeholder groups, what their needs are, and how best to engage and guide them through key change initiatives
  • Create and develop communication materials, including, but not limited to, email, print, video and digital for internal products, programs and key corporate initiatives
  • Build a pipeline of compelling story content from the business to the broader company and from company-wide programs deep into the business
  • Review and edit essential internal communications prior to dissemination to ensure accuracy, clarity, and tone of voice
  • Enhance existing processes and develop regular feedback channels to promote cross communication and ensure that messages are being delivered in a consistent and timely manner
  • Leverage and embrace technology and visual communications to provide new and creative ways to reach our audiences
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications or other related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in developing and managing high-impact strategic internal communications, in complex, matrix organizations
  • Experience in creating campaigns that have driven strong employee engagement
  • A team player with the ability to communicate effectively and develop solid working relationships across multiple levels and organizational boundaries.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, concisely, and creatively
  • Passion for creativity and a knack for engaging storytelling
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret, synthesize and communicate information to different stakeholder audiences in a way that is relevant to them
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments concurrently, perform well under pressure, and meet deadlines, while ensuring acute attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of proficiency in proofreading and editing
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools
  • Knowledge of WordPress and Beaver Builder a plus, or the ability and willingness to learn
