Intern, Social Media (TikTok)

The WP Creative Group team on The Washington Post Client Solutions organization is seeking a TikTok Intern. This team supports the custom advertising programs created on behalf of our brand partners.


As a TikTok Intern, you will work closely with our Production, Creative and Social Media teams to create and pitch concepts based on recent platform trends, script videos, and assist with the production process. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the TikTok platform and a proven ability to tap into trends in order to create compelling content.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Creative, Production and Social Media teams to develop TikTok concepts for our advertising partners that align with our social media guidelines and are based on recent trends.
  • Craft scripts and assist with the production process for TikTok content.
  • Monitor TikTok trends and report back to the team with recommendations for future content development on a regular basis.
  • Use data and analytics to measure the success of TikTok content and make recommendations for future content development.
  • Stay up-to-date on social media trends and best practices, particularly on TikTok.
  • Assist production team with other duties as needed.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience creating engaging social media content, with a focus on TikTok trends.
  • Strong understanding of TikTok trends and the ability to identify content with the potential to go viral.
  • Familiarity with TikTok video creation and editing tools and apps.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make recommendations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and social media management tools.
  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
