Information Technology Intern

Entry level helpdesk role to monitor incoming helpdesk tickets for the 3 IT teams. Ask some basic questions pertaining to the helpdesk ticket, assign tickets to the proper IT team member who will resolve the issue. Over time, the candidate may learn to perform more technical troubleshooting and resolution tasks.


Responsibilities:

  • Helpdesk queue monitoring and triaging
  • Review all IT helpdesk tickets submitted
  • Respond to ticket submitter
  • Assign new IT helpdesk tickets to proper IT department
  • Assist IT team members in basic troubleshooting resolutions


The 80:

  • Learn how to work in an IT support environment
  • Assists in general IT questions and issue
  • Assists in developing and broadening interest in Information Technology


The 20:

  • Test internal IT documentation
  • Reduce helpdesk ticket response time


Key Deliverables to Demonstrate Success:

  • Learn IT helpdesk ticketing system
  • Learn to work with and communicate with internal customers
  • Assist in basic JD Edwards ERP trouble shooting and solving user issues
  • Assist Infrastructure team on basic computer issues


Qualifications:

  • Must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Professional communication skills
  • Ability to work alone or collaborate with others
