Information Security Coordinator

The Identity Verification team is seeking a Security Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you'll act as a bridge between our security engineering and operations teams and the business, including technology, development and platform teams.
You’ll serve as the technical scoping expert, connecting teams to ensure our security initiatives and activities are injected into the development process to provide guidance to release safe and secure products. You'll task-manage multiple projects, providing efficient and effective assignment and coordination of a complex range of activities. You will ensure effective identification of risks and pro-active solutioning to mitigate risks and impact on timelines.
Our Security Coordinator must have technical aptitude along with personality strengths in self-starting and being a proactive instigator. A proven track record of managing technology projects end-to-end including requirements gathering, scoping document creation, design review and sign-off.
What You'll Do:
- Plan and manage technology projects from the initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to project scope and timeline
- Manage multiple workstreams and tasks to meet goals and timelines
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute project tasks and deliverables effectively
- Monitor project progress and tasks, identify, and raise risks and issues, and proactively communicate status to key stakeholders
- Collaborate with globally distributed teams, ensuring successful outcomes.
- Drive agile methodologies, streamline processes, and ensure timely, high-quality deliveries
- Ensure required project documentation is completed for reviews and sign-off, and updated as changes to the product are implemented
What you bring:
- Proven experience in information technology and/or information security project management
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
- Proficiency in project management tools and software (Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, etc.)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and provide input as part of a larger, collaborative team
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
- A high level of motivation
- Excellent and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think outside the box and be innovative in solving unforeseen challenges
- High-level knowledge of security technologies (e.g., AWS security services), network infrastructure, cloud infrastructures, and server technologies preferred
- Understanding of IT and security principles and best practices
Additional nice to have:
- Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, CompTIA Project+)
- Experience in risk management frameworks and methodologies
