ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Designer to join our Product team. This role is pivotal in designing a wide array of products, including devices, pods, accessories, and packaging. You will lead the charge in marrying form with function, ensuring our products not only meet the highest standards of usability and aesthetics but also resonate with our consumers’ lifestyles.


Your work will span the entire design process from concept through to production, making your mark on every physical good we offer. In this role, Industrial Designers act as active product owners, expected to provide strategic insights and decisions akin to a Product Manager, thereby playing a significant role in the product development process.

  • Develop innovative design concepts for a comprehensive range of products, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic and functional user experience across devices, pods, accessories, and packaging.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, product management, and marketing teams to align design concepts with user needs, market trends, and production capabilities.
  • Produce detailed design specifications, including sketches, renderings, and 3D models, to effectively communicate concepts to stakeholders and manufacturing partners.
  • Lead industrial design projects with a fluent understanding of Human-Centered Design and Design For Manufacturing.
  • Engage in user research and usability testing to refine product designs based on direct customer feedback.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest in industrial design, materials, and manufacturing processes, with a keen eye on trends relevant to consumer electronics and the cannabis industry.


QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related fields.
  • Over 7 years of professional experience in industrial design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your design process from concept to market, particularly in consumer electronics or wellness products. (Must include portfolio or sample of work with application)
  • Proficiency in key design software (SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Suite, and Keyshot preferred).
  • Exceptional ability to communicate and collaborate across teams.
  • A deep passion for the cannabis industry and a dedication to enhancing user experience through design.
  • Experience with user interface design is a plus.

COMPENSATION

In addition to the benefits above, this role has a pay range between $150-200k + equity. This pay range represents what we believe, in good faith, this role will pay. The final pay will depend on many factors, including years and depth of experience, level, and location of the employee. We only expect to pay the top of the range in rare and exceptional circumstances, for candidates that far exceed the requirements and expectations of the position.
