Human Resources - Project Specialist

Reading, PA

Penske Transportation Solutions, the leader in the transportation industry, has an exciting opportunity to support Human Resources initiatives. As a Human Resources Project Specialist, you will collaborate with HR colleagues and enterprise teams to provide support to projects across HR including Compensation, Benefits, HR operations, Diversity and Inclusion and more. You will have direct responsibility for facilitating project team meetings, documenting progress, assigning tasks, and maintaining progress towards key deadlines. This role will also provide support to a team of Project Managers, maintaining documentation of key initiatives.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop project plans and timelines to achieve key project outcomes within the identified timeframe.
  • Monitor completion of deliverables for defined HR projects and ensuring that the project remains on schedule.
  • Facilitate project team meetings with cross functional HR and enterprise team members for the purpose of documenting progress, assigning tasks, and maintaining progress towards key deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation repository for use by all Project Management team members.
  • Other projects and responsibilities as assigned by the manager.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree required, concentration is Business, Management, Marketing, Communication, Human Resources, Change Management preferred
  • Preferred certifications include: Project Management, Design Communications
  • 2 years of HR experience required
  • Experience supporting HR projects preferred
  • Experience with project planning required
  • Ability to manage competing priorities required
  • Must be able to prioritize based on importance
  • Strong collaboration skills required
  • Must have strong organization skills
  • Strong communication skills required
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.


This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
