The ideal candidate for the human resource manager position will have experience in all areas of the Human Resource function. The position responsibilities include benefit administration, compensation, recruitment and retention, employee/labor relations, counseling, safety and training/development. This position will report to the Director of Human Resources. 


Some essential functions include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively recruits by maintaining communication with hiring managers regarding open positions
  • Facilitates bi weekly new hire orientation to ensure that all colleagues are onboarding within 2 weeks of starting
  • Completes new hire paperwork with all new hires and completes I-9 process
  • Hires all new colleagues in HRIS in timely manner and maintains high level of data integrity
  • Works with Director of Human Resources to respond to unemployment and worker's compensation claims
  • Maintains and creates community contacts to build a talent pipeline and to highlight Hyatt as a preferred employer in the Austin area
  • Attends hiring events in the community and hosts internal hiring events on an as needed basis
  • Assists with couching and counseling conversations to ensure our colleagues behaviors continue to align with Hyatt's values

Qualifications

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment
  • Refined verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience working in Human Resources leadership capacity is required
  • Full cycle recruitment experience is required 
  • Knowledge of HR systems such as Taleo, Kronos and ADP preferred
