Human Resources Manager

Louisville, CO

The HR Manager will oversee HR-related tasks and provide support to leaders and employees. The successful HR Manager acts as an employee champion and change agent and seeks to develop integrated solutions working with various departments. The role will develop strong partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the organization's business objectives. The role will ensure our HR initiatives are cost-effective, run smoothly, and contribute to a healthy work environment.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Act as a business partner to leaders at all levels across the organization
  • Manage and support the resolution of employee relations issues
  • Conduct thorough and impartial investigations providing recommendations for resolution
  • Support creating and maintaining a positive culture within the organization
  • Conduct weekly or bi-weekly meetings with respective function leads
  • Ensure all job descriptions are up to date with the input of supervisors and managers
  • Assist leaders in making salary recommendations based on Charlottes Web compensation structure
  • Alongside Head of HR, partner with functional leaders to facilitate organizational design
  • Assist with workforce planning process
  • Manage new hire orientation and onboarding program
  • Identify training and development needs; support training program development as needed; and evaluate and monitor the success of training programs
  • Recommend and schedule outside training for employees as needed
  • Counsel managers and supervisors on appropriate steps for motivating, coaching, and disciplining employees
  • Implement and oversee performance management program
  • Assist HR leadership in budget and planning process
  • Provide input for employee handbook, employment policies and assist in the implementation of those policies
  • Conduct other duties as assigned by HR leadership


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Excellent computer skills using the Microsoft Office 365 suite, particularly in using and manipulating data in Excel, creating pivot tables and graphs
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets
  • Prior experience using an HRIS solution with the ability to run reports
  • Ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communications skills with ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal teams and external partners
  • High level of organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision


Required Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years directly related HR or management experience
  • BA/BS in Human Resources Management, I/O Psychology, Organization Development, or similar degree SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Preferred Working Environment: Fast-paced work environment which requires flexibility
  • Daily interaction with various departments via written, verbal, and electronic communications
  • Ability to work some evenings, a few weekends, and travel between the various Operations sites
