Ocala Operations is a multi-shift manufacturing facility that builds circuit cards, wiring harnesses, and electo-mechanical assemblies. The facility provides its products to six other Missiles and Fire Control sites. Ocala specializes in both low volume, high mix and high-volume production that has a combination of automated processes as well as labor intensive manufacturing. Ocala Operations has a represented manufacturing workforce that is supported by a strong engineering and operations support team.


Ocala Operations’ Human Resources/Labor Relations team is seeking an HR Assistant that will help lead to the success of our growing business and HR Team.


This position will utilize a range of HR systems and tools to provide administrative support for various HR processes. This includes locating, integrating and consolidating sensitive information from multiple sources; ensuring accuracy of data; and filing electronic documents efficiently. This also includes preparing chart decks, reporting, and alert the team on trends for focused attention.


The HR Assistant will provide general administrative support to the HR team, which includes preparing correspondence, scheduling and management of the HR conference room, records retention management, ordering supplies for HR team.


Support the preparation of various presentations and employee communications. May compile presentations, which include manipulating the charts and data contained therein, creating charts and tables using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


This position will support all staffing related logistics and activities, including proactive coordination with recruiters and leaders on interviews (setting up interviews), support of hiring events, and knowledge and expertise on hiring processes and contacts to ensure smooth staffing process (inclusive of data integrity in our LM HR systems). Assist in the development and run staffing analytics and keep track of hiring, attrition and related manpower data. Conduct audits of information and ensure accuracy. Conduct exit interviews and consolidate data.


This position will support the On-boarding and New Employee Orientation (NEO) efforts: prepare for NEOs, secure and coordinate rooms and resources, make first day handouts. Initiates and completes the onboarding and termination processes for entering and exiting employees including transfers.


The HR Assistant is also the I-9 Administrator – preparing and submitting I-9 forms for new hires and other ad-hoc requests. This position supports the HR organization on all organizational initiatives and projects, including providing metrics reporting for various HR programs.


Provide information to all levels of employees regarding LOA- and FMLA-related policies and procedures. Ensure facility and system access is restored after a leave of absence.


Communicate HR policies and processes and understand nuances and exceptions to guide employees.


Pursues opportunities to change or lean out processes or approaches.


Perform other HR duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience working as an administrative assistant
  • Strong Organizational skills and have the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Must exhibit strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects and deliver impactful results
  • Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills with the ability to adjust style as needed to develop effective relationships with all levels of leadership, employees and peers locally and virtually
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite


This position will be located at a facility that requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen.


Desired Skills:

  • An Associate or higher level degree in business administration or Human Resources
  • Prior HR Assistant experience
  • Sensitive/personal/proprietary information handling experience
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, BrassRing

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.


Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.


Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
