Human Resources Administrative Assistant

The Human Resources Administrative Assistant provides daily business support for the Human Resources Department. This position is accountable for administrative systems, processes, procedures and providing these services in a way that enables an effective and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities May Include
- Responsible for new hire documentation, processing of paperwork for hires/terminations, promotions, demotions, status change forms, transfer paperwork and various employee personnel actions
- Produce accurate and timely reports as requested
- Execute a variety of administrative tasks including but not limited to managing current employee email distribution and resource groups, HR file folder access, generating and updating monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and managing employee records
- Ensure employment-related posters are up to date and clearly displayed in employee work areas (Federal and State All-in-One Poster, Federal Contract Poster, and Company All-in-One Poster)
- Interact with all levels of management, including support staff and outside vendors
- Purchase and maintain the inventory of office supplies for the HR Department
- Coordinate meetings and luncheons for HR sponsored events
- Responsible for administration of CAB requirements such as job bidding, attendance control, timekeeping and some payroll related duties.
- Willing to complete other duties as assigned by the HRBP Manager
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license
- 5 years of experience in an administrative role
- Intermediate or greater proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Able to work overtime as required and travel up to 10%
- Able to maintain strict confidential information and maintain strict confidentiality
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in union represented work environment and the ability to read and understand collective bargaining agreements
- 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role
- Proficient with Workforce Software and SAP SuccessFactors
- Working knowledge of employment/payroll laws and regulations
- Able to manage critical work and unplanned task simultaneously
- Excellent organizational skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
The Borger Refinery is located in Borger, Texas, in the Texas Panhandle, approximately 50 miles north of Amarillo, Texas. Refinery facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, hydrodesulfurization and delayed coking units. The refinery processes primarily medium sour crude oil produced locally, and heavy sour crude oil produced in Canada, all of which are delivered by pipeline. Borger produces a high percentage of transportation fuels, as well as petroleum coke, NGLs and solvents. Refined products are distributed to customers via pipelines from the refinery to West Texas, New Mexico, Colorado and the Midcontinent region.
