HR & Office Administrator

Marina del Rey, CA

CUTS is seeking an ambitious, highly motivated, self starter to join our team as HR & Office Administrator at our offices in Marina Del Rey, CA. Reporting to the CFO, the HR & Office Administrator will work closely with the operations and executive team to meet the demands of a rapidly growing organization. This role will oversee administrative tasks and ensure timely distribution of information to staff members. This role will also help identify ways to improve operations and create an inclusive workplace in which employees can thrive. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working in a fast-paced environment. To be successful in this role, you should be well-organized, have great time management skills and be able to act without guidance. Ultimately, you will contribute to the efficiency of our business by providing personalized, timely support and having good independent judgement. 


Essential HR Responsibilities:

  • Manage all human resource functions, including compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational development, and performance management.
  • Respond to reference checks and verifications of employment status. 
  • Review candidates with hiring teams, conduct interviews and set meetings and schedules.
  • Provide support in the maintenance of confidential personnel files, job files, confidential employee files, etc.
  • Responds timely to inquiries and requests from managers and employees regarding human resource policies, procedures, and employee benefit plans as well as employment verification.
  • Oversee onboarding, off-boarding processes.
  • Work closely with leadership to implement processes that sustain a culture of feedback.


Essential Office Responsibilities:

  • Act as the point of contact for any office needs while also offering support of the office among the employees, clients and other external partners
  • Keeping up with office supply inventory and ordering items when needed.
  • Format information for internal and external communication – memos, emails, presentations, reports.
  • Assist with the planning of internal and external events.
  • Ordering and setting up IT equipment and computers for new hires and as needed.
  • Assisting with office set-up, purchasing furniture, ordering office snacks and keeping kitchen and common areas tidy.
  • Scheduling meetings and taking notes as needed.
  • Handling mail and incoming/outgoing packages.


Required Qualifications:

  • 1-2+ experience with HR operations and/or 3+ years as an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant or similar role supporting a high-level executive in a D to C company, a talent agency, or tech company preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Operations Management or Human Resources preferred.
  • High level of motivation and assertiveness; self-starter.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Highly creative, flexible, adaptable.
  • Discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills, willing to take work independently.
  • Strong understanding with office software and applications (e.g. G-Suite, Slack, MS Office, e-calendars and copy machines).
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • IT experience a plus.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.


Job Type: 

Full-time


Salary DOE:

$60,000 - $70,000


Pay rate is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by Cuts Clothing, Inc.
