Healthcare Attorney

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

  • We’re looking for a dynamic, experienced healthcare attorney who is versatile, task and detail oriented, accountable, and dedicated to the legal protection of the company.
  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in healthcare law, with deep experience in health plan and provider contracting, Medi-Cal and Medicare regulatory and reimbursement issues, and mergers and acquisitions involving health plans and/or providers or hospitals.
  • We are also interested in candidates with a variety of experience in drafting, structuring and negotiating contracts, advising and counseling on a variety of regulatory issues, including FDA regulation of devices and remote patient monitoring services, while working across multiple parts of organizations in order to satisfy a breadth of business needs. 

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Support Legal Group Commercial Group in providing legal contract review and ensuring agreements are implemented in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements across the organization.
  • Provide legal guidance and support to Clinical Operations, Compliance and Commercial teams in the context of new deals and transactions, as well as entering new states and markets with the Babylon services.
  • Provide legal guidance and support to multiple areas of the business regarding FDA regulations and the implementation of new lines of business.
  • Support the Commercial and Business Development teams in mergers and acquisitions involving healthcare providers, including negotiating Letters of Intent and acquisition agreements and conducting associated due diligence. 
  • Structure, draft and negotiate value-based care and fee-for-service agreements with health plan and provider partners.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate and licensed to practice law 
  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience practicing law
  • Strong analytical and writing skills required
  • Good standing with a State Bar and high academic credentials
  • Willingness to dive into a fast-paced, start-up environment that requires collaboration and flexibility


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Major law firm experience or in-house experience with major healthcare provider
