Health Safety and Environmental Technician Specialist
HEALTH, SAFETY, & ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN | 6:30AM – 3PM | MON - FRI
We are looking for a talented HEALTH, SAFETY, & ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNICIAN to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Components Business Segment in Forest City, NC.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides technical support on health, safety and environmental to production and site personnel under the guidance of the site HSE leader.
- Assists in the implementation, analysis, review and sustainability of Health, Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
- Determine gaps within corporate HSE initiatives and local health, safety and environmental policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Follows all applicable standard work, process documentation and quality procedures.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. RESPONSIBILITIES

- Health and Safety Fundamentals - Champions and models proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace.
- Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems - Interprets and applies international standards through practical application within the operating environment to achieve and maintain an effective management system and external certification.
- Risk Assessment - Evaluates hazards within the work environment by applying hazard identification and risk assessment techniques to analyze and prioritize risk, enabling a selection of control measures that reduce risk as low as reasonably practicable.
- Health, Safety and Environment Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis - Examines HSE incidents by completing quality, evidence based investigations with accurate root cause analysis, resulting in effective corrective actions, accurate reporting and avoiding repeated incidents.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
- Basic knowledge with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
