Head of Technology Communications

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join the Global Communications Team at Intel as the Head of Technology Communications.

This leader will stitch the seams across our business groups and technology portfolio to ensure we are able to uplevel our voice and strategic campaigns as One Intel. The right leader will have a deep understanding of technology while also knowing how to drive thought leadership with cadence and creativity on a global scale.

The leader will be responsible for directing all facets of communications and industry analyst relations targeted at technology audiences, including proactive storytelling, AR/PR campaigns, and priority launch waves, ensuring that all messaging ladders to Intel's most strategic priorities.

This role includes a combination of business unit and technology group communications. Groups include Client Computing Group, Data Center and AI, Network and Edge, Software and Advanced Technology Group, Technical Development and Design Engineering Group, and additional critical areas to include Automotive and Ignite.

This role reports to the Chief Communications Officer and, in partnership with the rest of the Global Communications leadership team, ensures that we are delivering holistic communications programs that engage and activate corporate, employee and technology audiences.

The leader of this function will have exceptional leadership skills, clarity of vision on world-class communications, and an ability to distill what is complex into that which is newsworthy.


  • Develop and lead Intel's overall technology communications strategy and messaging, aligning with the company's business objectives and innovation milestones.
  • Lead our dynamic industry analyst relations program to ensure depth of understanding in both our strategy and product focus.
  • Serve as the strategy hub for pan-Intel product launches, innovation rollouts and alignment to global events.
  • Liaise with key members of the ELT plus other senior executives to ensure communications efforts are aligned with business priorities and meeting and exceeding agreed upon objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, product teams, and engineers, to understand their technology innovations and effectively communicate them to external audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across all communication channels.
  • Serve as a spokesperson where needed for technology-related topics, ensuring accurate and timely information is shared with the media and other external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze industry trends, competitive landscape, and media coverage to identify opportunities and risks, providing strategic guidance to senior leadership.
  • Develop and execute proactive media relations programs, including press releases, media briefings, and thought leadership articles, to generate positive coverage and promote Intel's technology advancements.
  • Manage a team of technology communications professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to drive their professional growth and maximize their impact.
  • Break down silos, ensuring we demonstrate fully integrated comms in everything we do and helping bring others along, in our own Communications group and cross-functionally with various departments with strong communications and influence skills.


  • Bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, or a related field.
  • High potential, technology enthusiasts with 15+ years of experience creating and implementing successful technology communications strategies within a complex and heavily matrixed corporate environment.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology communications, preferably in the semiconductor or technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of technology trends, including areas such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data analytics, and Internet of Things.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful technology communication strategies, including media relations, executive communications, and thought leadership programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex technical information into clear and compelling messages for diverse audiences.
  • Agency experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Tangible historical experience managing and developing high-performing teams, bringing forward an inspiring, yet structured approach to foster a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Demonstrable track record of setting strategic direction to accomplish immediate and long-range objectives that address business issues and build trust across all stakeholder groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree in business, communications, or a related field.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $195,317.00-$341,559.00, salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. 

In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
