BrightDrop is looking for an experienced Head of Talent to lead our overall talent strategy, recruiting, and talent marketing organization. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding for how technical talent delivers and grows business outcomes and quickly translate BrightDrop’s strategic direction and product roadmap into a full-scale talent strategy. This person must be a builder at heart, deeply passionate about delivering on the BrightDrop mission, who can not only operate at the strategic level but also be hands-on in leading and guiding the team.


This role will oversee talent strategy and execution for BrightDrop, lead and manage a best-in-class team of recruiters and talent specialists to attract top talent in a dynamic environment. 

  • Design, build, and execute innovative Talent programs to attract, evaluate, and hire world-class people (e.g., brand, referral programs, referrals sourcing, diversity and inclusion initiatives, candidate experience). 
  • Lead headcount planning and management processes, working with senior leaders across the company to anticipate their organizational needs and achieve hiring and performance goals.  
  • Establish appropriate business processes to support our scale, especially in the areas of forecasting, pipeline analysis, and financial planning. 
  • Partner with our diversity, equity and inclusion team to systematically attract underrepresented profiles to our team. 
  • Continuously improve the overall candidate experience and help us build a phenomenal employer brand. 
  • Grow and lead a best-in-class Talent Acquisition Team, filled with ambitious recruiters, coordinators, and specialists. 
  • Use data to garner insights and understand business needs, adjusting plans as needed; drive thought leadership around how and where to make business investments and trade-offs. 
  • Play "high and low", operating at both a strategic and tactical level with ease and often. 
  • Provide subject matter expertise and accurately interpret, counsel, communicate, and educate individual contributors, hiring managers, and executives on the Talent function and status. Build relationships and trust coming from a “One Team” orientation.
  • Understand current and emerging market trends to identify potential opportunities and gaps to differentiate BrightDrop in the market. 


Ideal Experience   

  • 8-10+ years of proven experience managing and scaling a recruiting team across business channels. 
  • Successfully built or helped build a global recruiting team in high-growth envrionment. 
  • Strong analytical and systems-thinking approach, with a preference for managing through the data. 
  • Proven experience having delivered exceptional outcomes for client groups and candidates, elevated recruiting capacity, and streamlined processes. 
  • Experience with HR and Talent/ATS systems and tools, with strong expertise in quantitative analysis for tracking and measuring Talent metrics. 
  • Ability to meet independently with senior leaders and present to them with confidence, impact, and influence. 
  • Strong organization, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation). Confident in interacting with teammates of all levels and functions, and ability to connect with a variety of personalities.  
  • Develop, inspire and lead a growing, best-in-class, team of talent specialists and recruiters that will coach hiring managers on impactful talent identification and engagement strategies to deliver top technical talent in a hyper-growth environment.
