Head of Retail/Ecommerce Strategy

Remote (United States)

Twilio is looking for a Head of Retail/Ecommerce Strategy. Your role will focus on developing and growing the retail/ecommerce vertical from a revenue perspective. In this role you will work directly with customers and partners to support our field team to drive Twilio adoption in the market. You will be a domain expert for retail/ecommerce for the US market. 


Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Support strategy for retail/ecommerce GTM execution plan, develop key use cases, be a customer and partner facing expert to ultimately drive revenue with new and existing customers.
  • Work closely with sales and pre-sales team to drive strategy to expand footprint in the retail/ecommerce vertical across the US market
  • Partner with marketing to develop retail content, collateral, customer stories and support demand generation. Attend key industry events and help to plan & execute Twilio events
  • Work closely with partners to develop strategic relationships & reference architectures for partner led Retail Solutions to drive adoption
  • Identify and build out repeatable use cases where we can develop solutions to drive higher revenue in the Retail Vertical
  • Contribute to efforts to elevate Twilio’s industry profile through activities such as authoring white-papers, speaking at events, and engaging with customers to ensure their success

Required:

  • Minimum 7 years experience working technology in the retail/ecommerce industry
  • Strong customer facing presence (CXO, IT and Business Leaders, including CX and marketing)
  • Experience working in a software company and working with cross-functional resources to built-out Vertical Solutions on an existing technology platform that has generated revenue and value for the customer
  • Experience working with sales and technical pre-sales, building out go-to-market sales kits to drive market penetration
  • Hands on experience with program managing vertical solutions which includes: collecting, tracking and prioritizing vertical business requirements, working with technical resources to ensure timelines are met, collaborating with marketing to develop marketing assets and event planning, working with partner team to track partner relationship progress ensuring key milestones are met
  • Hands on experience with Sales Enablement / Sales Performance programs
  • Would like experience working at retail/ecommerce brand 


Location 

  • This role will be Remote based in the US.
  • Approximately 30-40% travel is anticipated.

If you are a Colorado applicant:

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $143,600 - $197,525.
  • Sales Commission: Additionally, this role is eligible to earn commissions and eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.


The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
