Head of Finance

As the Head of Finance at Render, you will:

  • Partner with the CEO to build a successful and sustaining business by focusing on monetization.
  • Build and lead the finance and accounting function at Render.
  • Own all financial modeling, planning and analysis necessary to achieve business goals.
  • Introduce best-in-class financial tools and processes to support company-wide initiatives.
  • Identify strategic opportunities for the company and help execute on them.
  • Work with product and growth teams to optimize revenue and margins.
  • Set up tools and mature processes to support finance functions including treasury, accounts payable/receivable, taxes, and revenue recognition.
  • Streamline vendor management for accounting, taxes, legal, insurance, banking, and expenses.
  • Assist with compliance and certification work (GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
  • Support investor management, 409(a) valuations, fundraising, and M&A activities.


Ideal Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a senior finance role at a high-growth tech startup. In addition to startup experience, 1 - 2 years Banking/ Private Equity experience preferred.
  • Bachelors in finance or economics or an MBA.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and use new knowledge to drive results.
  • Extremely strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to drive both strategy and implementation.
  • People management experience. Experience in hiring, building, and motivating teams.

  • Although we prefer a mostly in-person work environment, we are working remotely until it is safe to use public transportation and gather in groups again.
