Head of Finance

Bridgewater, NJ

As the Head of Finance (Financial Co-Pilot), you will work as a strategic business partner for Persona and be responsible for providing financial analysis and reporting that will guide impactful business decisions, drive company results, and lead to achievement of strategic business objectives. You will work cross-functionally and collaboratively across all levels of the organization to assess company results, forecast demand and profit, support new item launches and renovations, and evaluate internal resources. You will provide detailed financial analysis to the business leaders, including updating teams on actual spend vs budget, MC/cost analysis, and early detection of deviation in actuals vs. plan on different areas of the P&L. Lastly, this position will provide clear and effective reporting of financial results while constantly looking for areas of business optimization and process improvement. Handles special assignments/audits as required.


Responsibilities

  • Lead the Persona finance team in managing and overseeing all aspects including strategy, compliance, and control and serve as a strategic partner for the GM and the Persona Business
  • Lead analysis, tracking and detailed strategic action planning around Life-Time-Value of Customer base. Use internal, 3rd party partner and industry data to drive actionable testing and be key strategic partner with Chief Growth Officer to maximize growth and profitability metrics
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and subsequent loan requests
  • Lead period end close processes through analysis, creating financial reports, and assist in creating presentations to support the business needs
  • Provide support to other business functions to provide timely, accurate, and insightful financial analysis, inclusive of profitability of financial plans throughout the annual planning cycle, forecast submissions, marketing spend, and innovations / renovation projects
  • Work collaboratively with US NHS finance partners to ensure timely and clear submission of financial reports as needed
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial reporting, as well as review financial results and prepare and share insights back to the business to guide business decisions
  • Manage short- and long-term financial budgeting and forecasting, including the DF, MBS, and Annual brand plans
  • Ensure data integrity across our reporting channels and create a proactive plan to ensure timely and accurate reporting of information
  • Work collaboratively with and in support of factory and international finance teams
  • Lead financial analysis and support forecasting for New Product Development initiatives
  • Provide support and insights for cost saving initiatives
  • Establish a monthly budget management system that minimizes work on department heads and creates clarity in monthly spend
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic objectives
  • Serve as the leader for audits as appropriate


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Audit 
  • Managing P&L while working cross functionally with operations, manufacturing, human resources and other business units
  • Experience managing a team 
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to distill complex financial reports into easy-to-understand insights 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across all functions
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Experience using SAP
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong ability to work with in a cross-functional and high ability to adapt quickly to changes
