Graphic Design Intern

Outback Presents, the leading independent live entertainment promotor, has a unique opportunity to for a rock star design student to join the team for an 8–12-week assignment. In this role, the designer will support our marketing initiatives by providing top-notch graphic design support to promote a large array of live events including tours, festivals, and concerts. This position requires a creative individual that has a strong graphic design skill set. Candidates must be able to produce creative concepts and manipulate artist ad-mats in multiple styles, sizes, and mediums to satisfy design objectives. Must be able to manage multiple projects and follow a strict attention to detail while adhering to fast-paced deadlines and brand guidelines. This is a part-time position (8-10 hours per week) located in our Nashville, TN office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Conceptualize, illustrate, design, and edit for various Outback Presents Tour & Festival ad-mats and projects per design direction, production, and request parameters.
Assists with client/artist research and development gathering of assets and inspiration.
Discusses artist and project goals with the Marketing team.
Proofread to produce accurate and high-quality work within a fast-paced environment. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Assist in Outback Presents brand/ad work with other departments as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, design, or related function…we want someone with passion for design and wants a long-term career in the field
Familiarity the live events industry would be helpful
Proficient knowledge of MAC OS and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Strong commitment to quality, design integrity and innovation
Strong project management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adjust priorities to meet quick evolving deadlines…this is a fast-moving environment
Ability to take direction and handle constructive criticism are essential…you will learn a lot here
Works well independently and within a group environment…. we work well together well
Must be willing to work in the office; this not a remote role
