About the Job

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sourcing and Commercial Finance Manager to join our FP&A team. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the long-range financial model and ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the collection, analysis, interpretation, reporting, forecasting and budgeting of financial information for all direct global sourcing functions as well as our domestic manufacturing operations. The Manager will also provide Senior Management with conceptual, economic and business analysis necessary to make strategic business decisions with respect to the company’s business portfolio.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Sourcing and Commercial Finance Manager to join our FP&A team. This individual will be responsible for maintaining the long-range financial model and ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the collection, analysis, interpretation, reporting, forecasting and budgeting of financial information for all direct global sourcing functions as well as our domestic manufacturing operations. The Manager will also provide Senior Management with conceptual, economic and business analysis necessary to make strategic business decisions with respect to the company’s business portfolio. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Work with direct sourcing functional as well as our domestic manufacturing teams to understand and report on key business trends
  • Guide the cost analysis and selling margin analysis by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Manage and monitor inventory flow for fabric and trim with specific context of work in progress inventory in international locations
  • Develop and maintain financial forecast/budget for multiple accounts such as direct sourcing payroll, international business manager fees, office expenses etc.
  • Prepare monthly financial presentations for leadership, effectively communicating financial results and performance to financial forecast and budget
  • Identify business functional drivers and develop methodologies to support in-depth analysis and decision-making
  • Assist treasury team in vendor terms for execution of overall sourcing strategy of the company Assist accounting team in accurate and compliant financial reporting
  • Leverage diverse sources of data (Essbase, Excel, Access, Hyperion, capital tracking, etc.) to assess financial performance and develop action plans to achieve business goals
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and strategic insight to cross-functional teams and ad-hoc financial analysis for area business leadership to support business decisions
  • Additional duties as assigned


Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field required; MBA preferred
  • 5-8 years’ minimum work experience in planning, evaluation, business and financial analysis
  • Retail financial experience preferred; specifically in retail or manufacturing supply chain operations
  • Financial statement (income statement, balance sheet & cash flow statement) modeling and analysis experience
  • Ability to translate complex business/financial situations and questions into simple and clear conclusions and communication tools
  • Work experience and proficiency with financial and forecasting/budget software applications required; Hyperion Essbase and Hyperion Strategic Finance experience strongly preferred
  • Possess an understanding of corporate finance, financial modeling, and analytical tools (DCF, IRR, payback)
  • Strong use of Microsoft Excel with the ability to summarize large quantities of data and build complex financial models.
  • Proficient use of other Microsoft Office programs, including Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to interface with Corporate Executives, Business Management, and functional groups such as Legal, and the CFO of the organization
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with and support cross-functional teams
  • High level of initiative and critical thinking to formulate business issues into analytical problems and devise actionable solutions
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where self-motivation and initiative are critical to success
  • Ability to access data from financial systems and understand the corporate mapping and hierarchy, PeopleSoft experience preferred
  • Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, balance multiple tasks and shift gears on short notice, and concentrate on detailed information in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
  • Structured, disciplined approach to work, with attention to detail

Work Environment, Physical & Mental Demands

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach daily
  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
  • Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from a remote location.
