eBay Ads is reinventing advertising at eBay. We’re crafting innovative brand and sellers solutions to optimize the ad monetization and experience on eBay. Our goal is to build a valuable experience for both buyers and sellers, while also driving performance for advertisers. To that end, we are innovating rapidly in the ad-tech space and there is no shortage of new challenges for motivated individuals.

We are seeking a Global Event Marketing Manager to help drive engagement with sellers and brands through events we sponsor and host as a company. This person will manage everything from invite strategy to execution efforts partnering with the Global Head of Marketing Communications & Events, Marketing Managers, Analytics, In-Market teams and more.

What you will accomplish:

  • Manage the Global eBay Ads event calendar
  • Produce in-person and virtual events (including third party eBay Ads events) from concept through completion: manage timelines, workback calendars, assemble project teams, manage vendors, source diverse speakers and audiences, create event collateral, and ensure teams are on track to reach goals.
  • Partner with other marketing functions to ensure consistent branding, pre- and post-promotion programs, lead follow-up and analytics/reporting
  • Own management of event technology deliverables, including attendee registration, campaign and email builds, events enablement, landing pages, reporting dashboards, etc.
  • Support management of sponsored and proprietary events
  • Develop new event ideas, concepts, processes, and formats, ensuring consistency and creativity throughout all event touchpoints

What you will bring:

  • Proven track record of planning a range of events for multiple audiences in a fast-paced environment, preferably at a tech or advertising company
  • Experience working in both digital and in-person event environments, with in-depth knowledge incorporating event experiences into the buyer’s journey to generate demand
  • Experience partnering closely with sales teams to develop strategies and track metrics for events
  • Strong working knowledge of tech conferences and the sales landscape in the tech industry
  • Experience developing, editing, and evolving content for emails and speakers at the events
  • Self-starter, ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and navigate through ambiguity.
  • A team player who believes in ‘we’ over ‘me’. Excellent relationship building skills, and a proven track record of collaborating effectively and with positivity.
