Global Director, Digital Enablers and Architecture Transformation

Over the next five years, Mars Wrigley will embark on a journey to ‘boldly re-imagine how we work’. This is a necessity and core strategic focus area to ensure Mars Wrigley and the Snacking businesses stay relevant and competitive in an increasing VUCA world; where consumers are shifting preferences and behaviours, where customers are transforming and where employees are transitioning into hybrid ways of working. As we enter the next phase of the Mars Wrigley Reinvention, it will be increasingly important for Mars Wrigley and the rest of the Snacking Global Business Units to see digital and data as a multiplier of value.

To that end, the Digital Enablers and Architecture Transformation Leader will be pivotal to this journey as Mars Wrigley strives to revolutionise its operating model by dismantling functional silos, standardizing modern technology deliver processes, and leveraging data, AI and digital automation. The Digital Enablers and Architecture Transformation Leader will play a key role in ensuring these technologies align with the strategic vision.

In a rapidly evolving landscape, the role’s expertise in foreseeing technology trends will be instrumental in ensuring that both small and agile acquired businesses and larger, more complex businesses built for scale can harness digital and data driven capabilities to maximise their potential. Moreover, the Digital Enablers and Architecture Transformation Leader’s role in architecting a future ready, digital-first strategy will be critical in positioning Mars Wrigley and its global Snacking business units at the forefront of industry innovation and competitiveness.

This role will work alongside the Mars Wrigley VP Digital Transformation & the rest of the D30 leadership team and serve as a key leadership position responsible for the technological direction and innovation across Mars Snacking.

The role will demand a combination of deep technical knowledge, visionary foresight, adept risk management and a collaborative approach with the ability to effectively simplify and communicate complex technological strategies to diverse stakeholders and lead with agility in a dynamic business landscape. Additionally, the role will require a strategic outlook on mergers, acquisitions and expansions ensuring the development of a technology architecture that is acquisition ready.

While the role will focus primarily on Mars Wrigley and will require robust collaboration with all members of the Mars Wrigley D30 team, it will also engage across the entire Mars Snacking and Mars, Inc organisation. The same will need to happen outside of Mars to inspire external partners to understand the Mars Snacking needs, which is critical in the broader Mars Enterprise.

The Digital Enablers and Architecture Transformation Leader will collaborate at the highest level.

The role will work independently, seeking guidance only in the most complex situations

  • Engaging across all Mars Snacking Business Units
  • Covering multiple geographies
  • Managing a high performing team
  • Partnering with external vendors 


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field


  • Extensive working in technology leadership roles
  • Broad understanding of company’s business and technology strategies and business process areas and the ways in which new technology can be deployed to enhance and simplify business processes
  • Evaluating business models, processes, and technology alternatives
  • Demonstrating leadership, fostering team building, and managing teams effectively
  • Possessing robust project and programme management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal skills as well as high interpersonal skills 
  • Strong consultative skills, problem analysis, negotiating and influencing skills
