Global Customs Analyst (18 Month Maternity Leave)

We have an immediate need for a Customs Analyst to join our Global Trade, for an 18 month maternity leave position. In this role, you will play a key part in the coordination of export and import compliance activities within the organization. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with skilled professionals, leverage advanced technologies, and contribute to the success of Raytheon ELCAN.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications and country of origin analysis
  • Free Trade Agreement analysis and qualifications
  • Assist with inquiries related to import compliance activities
  • Be current with changes in customs regulations and ensure the company’s adherence to global trade requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customs-related issues and implement effective solutions
  • Facilitate communication with customs authorities and provide require information
  • Comply with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety and ensuring a safe working environment 
  • Share in the commitment towards a positive workplace culture


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Completion of Bachelor Degree/Certificate in Business Administration or International Business, or equivalent training or work experience
  • Minimum two years of work experience in the export/import of goods and material in Canada
  • Comprehensive knowledge of customs regulations and procedures is an asset
  • Highly effective communications skills
  • Highly motivated with a demonstrated positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn and acquire knowledge/understanding through study, instruction or experience

The successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal reference check and obtain/maintain a Government of Canada security clearance and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods.
