Global Compliance Director

The Global Compliance Director for Pall Corporation (“Pall”) within the Life Sciences Platform serves as the primary compliance leader and is responsible for developing, fostering, and sustaining a sound Integrity and Compliance culture as well as for leading, embedding and strengthening the Compliance Program at Pall. Working directly with business executives and colleagues in the Legal and Compliance department, the successful candidate will collaborate to develop, improve, and implement Danaher’s Global Compliance Program within Pall to ensure compliance with anti-corruption and other compliance laws, regulations, and industry best practices, to promote ethical and appropriate behavior among employees and to prevent and detect misconduct.

  • Fostering and implementing initiatives advancing Danaher’s Compliance Program and the design and implementation of Pall’s Ethics & Compliance Program to ensure compliance with Danaher policies and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Acting as a strategic partner for senior leadership on matters of importance to the company and provide information related to all aspects of the company’s compliance, including reporting ongoing compliance issues and intentional acts of non-compliance, fraud, waste, and abuse.
  • Developing effective compliance communication and training programs to educate employees on the legal and ethical standards and ensure that such training reflects the latest developments in law, business ethics and adult learning tools.
  • Promoting (a) use of the Compliance Speak Up hotline, (b) heightened awareness of Danaher’s Code of Conduct, and (c) understanding of new and existing compliance issues and related policies and procedures.
  • Conducting investigations and managing the entire investigations process, including the management, and tracking of the investigation lifecycle and the close-out process.
  • Ensuring Pall’s policies are up to date and accessible to all associates.
  • Conducting in-person compliance visits to conduct training, reinforce a strong culture of compliance, and to understand the business.
  • Leading and developing Pall’s global Compliance team and function. Ensuring continuous training and education of team members to keep up with the ever-changing legal and regulatory landscape and marketplace. Establishing direction, motivating others, encouraging diverse views, improvement, and development.
  • Identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk (e.g., conducting risk assessments); developing and implementing corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues (e.g., monitoring/surveillance, and testing activities) and providing general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
  • Resolve complex regional or functional business problems, independent of the popularity of the decision.


Requirements:

  • 7+ years of global compliance experience is required, preferably in the life sciences and/or other highly regulated industries.
  • 3+ years’ experience managing people (line and/ or project team management).
  • B.A. or B.S. or similar university degree required.
  • Experience designing and implementing effective compliance programs per the U.S. DOJ Sentencing Guidelines and DOJ’s Guidance on the Evaluation of Corporate Compliance Programs, and/or the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General’s Guidance for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (“the Seven Elements of an Effective Compliance Program”) along with knowledge of various global industry codes and standards, Anti-bribery/Anti-Corruption laws, Data Privacy laws, etc., with an understanding of how these requirements apply to the organization’s daily operations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management and a proven ability to engage, influence and align with multiple stakeholders.
  • 25% travel.


Preferred 

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree or Compliance Certification/Credentials.
  • Data privacy compliance program experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Detailed knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • A solid understanding of EthicsPoint (a Navex platform) or similar compliance hotline provider.


The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is $170,000--$218,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.


This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
